Inside Mount – When and Why

Inside mount is the most popular choice when you want a clean, built-in look and your window has enough depth for the shade to sit fully inside the frame.

It’s ideal when:
• The window frame is straight and not twisted or uneven.
• There are no handles or obstacles that will hit the fabric.
• You want to show off the trim or molding around the window.

Inside mount gives a minimal, premium look and helps the shade feel fully integrated into your window design.

Step 1: Measure Width
  • Measure the inside width at top, middle, and bottom.
  • Record the narrowest measurement.
  • Do not make any deductions; the factory will do that for you.
  • Measure the inside height at left, center, and right.
  • Record the longest measurement.
  • For certain products, height deductions may be applied.
Step 2: Measure Height
Important Notes

Always use a metal measuring tape for accuracy. Round measurements to the nearest 1/8 inch. Ensure window frame has sufficient depth to avoid light gaps.
